I hear they cook well, are pretty and very feminine and pleasant.
Why? You got a catalog or something?

A buddy of mine had a filipina fiancée, she used to bring me trays of lumpia.

Yes, I have known a few. The two closest friends that I know are very happy - even after many years.
I also know a couple who got dumped after a while because the men acted like pigs.

I grew up an Air Force brat. Whole lot of successful USAF / Filipino marriages.

My neighbor and they seem to be doing well both retired and still happy. My neighbor is an African American guy served in the Air Force as a mechanic. One of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. His wife can be a tough nut and the only nice thing she has said is when I make smoke pork butt and give them some that it reminds her of the way they did it in her country and that she usually doesn’t eat other peoples cooking.

I have two phillipina employees and one that regularly arranges marriages. They will clean, cook, and frick but you have to take care of everything else. Yes, some of them know how to take your money. Ifnyou marry one protect yourself. Don't send money overseas. Two big flexes for them are to get money sent over, have you come with family to meet them, and you not tell them no and let them throw your money around town

I'll ask her when she wakes up.

I have a couple of friends that did and another guy that I met because my grandson does karate with their daughter. They seem to be okay, the women are very sweet. One of the guys is a nut case but the woman is hanging in there. I feel sorry for her. But they seem to make good wives.

I know a guy that did the “mail order bride” thing. They have been married for around 20 years. He seems happy with it. They have kid together and he never complains.

If you’re in the market for that and are in your 40’s or 50’s, Wan Chai in Hong Kong is a pretty good spot to shop around.
If Indonesian is your style then go one neighborhood over to Causeway Bay.
Either way, this is the life story for all of them:
Single female parent (either divorced or never married), moved to Hong Kong as a domestic helper (live in maid for a more well off family). Sunday is their day off so Saturday night and Sunday the bars are filled with women.
Many of the expat men in the area are retired British soldiers who were stationed there before the handoff to China…..so now they are very elderly.

Neighbor was. He got cancer so she left him, took his kid, and didn’t come back until after he died to make sure his family didn’t get any of his possessions.
