What are your reasons? Health? Ethical? Have you noticed differences in your health or how you feel?

I was vegan once.

Then I finished my vegetables and moved on to my steak.

I ate a salad for lunch yesterday.

ETA: Vegetarians I can deal with. Vegans can go frick themselves.

My Fiancée is vegan about 75%. It's strictly a fad/ health thing if you ask me. She will swear it's only health. The only meat she eats is from her Dad's farm now unless it's Seafood. She has no problem eating scallops and shrimp

Same here except mine does it mostly for ethical reasons. She still eats cheese, eggs & seafood though. But she's not annoying like some vegans/veggies are. She has no problem adding a piece of bacon to my omelet or grilling me a piece of chicken.

God damn there is no such thing as "semi-vegetarian". Either you eat meat or you don't. People that attempt to wear the badge without actually doing it are phony attention seekers. Do you eat seafood? You're not vegetarian.

I think most people would benefit from cutting some of the meat out of their diet and replacing it with fruit and vegetables.

Just an update. Tried the vegetarian thing for a month. I ate eggs and cheese and supplemented with a protein shake or two each day. Within a week I began feeling much better. Tons more energy. I already eat fairly healthy with tons of fresh fruit and vegetables so I know it was not just eating more vegetables. I have added seafood back to my diet now but really do not have any cravings for meat. I dont plan on doing away with meat all together but really don't see myself having it more than once or twice per month. I have leaned out a fair bit and seem to recover quicker now from my workouts.

I eat meat for ethical reasons. Some of us are just more in touch with our humanity. It's a moral choice.
