Anyone here have a AAA membership?

Worth it no matter your age for an older parent absolutely!!

Worth every penny.

I have been seeing the ads for 47 bucks a year for 2 family members. Seems like no brainer. Just was curious if the service was reliable. We both have State Farm I will have to check and see if it's offered.

I can see or your dad. It is basically tow insurance for a normal adult. I do all of my maintaince before long trips to reduce the chance of something happening.

Yeah, but they charge you a reduced rate for any over mileage. You only pay like a third of the tow fee. Every driver should have AAA.

eta- they'll also let you call and upgrade on the spot.

Yep. Worth it to me. Used it twice last year after not using it the 2 years before. Just renewed this month. Just the basic membership.

TripTics. My father always went to the AAA office on Florida Street in front of the old Kornmeyers before we took the Buick Estate Wagon with vinyl wood paneling on vacation. He had routing and and trip tics which were maps with the route in a small binder with each page about 100 miles of the trip. When he died a few years ago I found one for a trip to Hilton Head Island we took in 1974 in his desk. I now have it in my desk.

We have triple A now and have used it once but it is worth it.
