Have you thought about calling up this guy for pointers?

I've been taking Krav Maga for the past 2 months and I love it. I'm older than you and needed an excuse to move around. The classes are an hour long and so far it's all stand up punches, elbows and knees. How to defend against some other stuff. They have other classes where it's bag work for an hour.

If you want to try it out the first class is free. The workouts are different every time and leave me sore most days. They have sparring, classes with focus mitt work and about anything else you can think of.

Triumph Krav Maga...

If it "goes down in the street" and the boxer takes the first shot ( most likely will) he's gonna frick you up with the quickness. Generally if ya take the first shot and can finish your chances of dominating are about 90%. Most people have never been stroked and freak out when "it" happens , and then ya got em . Some advice , don't talk shite to a boxer or someone who works out on hvy bag/ speed bad , he can smash ya up pretty good and prolly will.

I just remembered I got this after Katrina and has it hanging up in the garage from a joist in a rental house for probably a month before I had to move. New place had no where for it so I brought it To my mom's where it's still hanging in the corner of my pop's game room collecting dust

Only difference is mine has the camp a darker color and also the 'everlast is yellow'

Dude is pretty heavy, prolly 80lbs

So my issue is I have no where to put it in the old house I'm renting now. Also I've messed my wrist up on this thing going hard for too long. I don't have any gloves or anything. And the material is rough, bare it will tear up some knuckles

I went to that Krav gym back when it was called Street Smarts. Vinay Charay is a super good guy. Toughest workouts I've ever had.

When you have the space, get a stand instead of worrying about hanging it from a beam. That way it can go anywhere. And buy some gloves, silly goose.

has some super light ones almost looked like mma globes but they must have walked off

Yeah so I'm cool with gcool getting a stand, I just still don't really have any room to put the stand

Yeah I just sold my stand and heavy bag bc it took too much room.

The Krav Maga recommendation was a good one. I think it'd substitute nicely for boxing. It's a brutal workout with emphasis on striking. I think kickboxing might also be offered at Triumph, but I'm not sure. There's also Muay Thai gyms around.

Its not for the faint of heart. It can be a pretty dangerous sport. I mean, anything can happen. All it takes is a cheap shot after the bell rings, hit your head on your stool, and your a frickin quadriplegic. Next thing you know your estranged family is scrapping for your money and you're begging your trainer to pull the plug on you.
