You like the beach, eh?

Friend of mine is getting married alone (no wedding guests) out in Rhodes TODAY, actually.

Yes, yes I do

Capri had the awesome cliffs and beautiful flowery gardins everywhere to go with spectacular architecture. Rhodes has a badass Medieval Castle, Greek ruins at the Temple of Poseidon, and a nice beach. Mykonos is basically the Key West of the Aegean Sea. It's just a beautiful, laid back, boozin' beach town.

We just got back from Italy...here are a couple of ideas...

The walled cities of San Gimignano and Monteriggioni - nothing of huge historical importance in either of these Tuscan cities, but they are very picturesque medieval towns worth seeing. San Gimignano is known for it's Vernaccia wine which is very good. Both pictures are of San Gimignano.

The Amalfi Coast - Positano & Ravello - We chartered a yacht and sailed along the Amalfi for 3 days. Stopped at Sorrento, Capri, Positano, and Amalfi then drove up to Ravello from Amalfi.

Capri was okay, a bit too pretentious for my tastes. Positano was my favorite of the cliff-side beach towns. Ravello was beautiful, the view from the terrace at the Villa Rufolo was the best view of the trip.

Maastricht, Holland. It was during Carnival though so that may have made it more awesome.

Istanbul. It's not unique per se, but definitely not the place people consider when going to Europe. 10/10 awesome place

Romania is the coolest place I've been. I saw the Transylvanian Alps.

Also stood on the steps of a Roman Catholic Church in Timisoara where protesters were gunned down by Soviet troops when they demanded independence in the late 80's.

Also, the party is scene is out of control.

Amalfi Coast was awesome and has a ton of small towns to stay in. Cote d'azur was . I love boats so seeing all the different yachts was great. Driving on the French Rivera is a ton of fun. I really liked Florence. Rome is a shite hole. Lake Como is awesome. E35 from Swiss to Italy is an amazing drive. Stelvio pass is also a good drive when not filled with caravans.

Bruges, Belgium just a few weeks ago, gorgeous small town.

Galway, Ireland. 90k people, of which 45k are students. Fun drinking town! (Went for Halloween last year and it was insane).

Went to the area formerly known as Prussia now controlled by Russians. Very long military tradition of German soldiers and horse country. The Russian influence diminished the experience but interesting. Also Spitzbergen which is between the North Pole and Nordic countries. Whales and sea life very interesting. Leipzig Germany part of the German Democratic Republic, still had not recovered from behind the iron curtain as quickly, beautiful area. Some areas in South Africa not for everyone. Bolivia has southern plantations modeled after homes in the south and built by Confederates who moved.Amsterdam which is not so out of the way of the norm, but cool as hell. Madeira Islands as well, interesting.
