Nope. I'm not stupid enough to book a flight on a day where it will snow.

MSY is claiming they have one de-icer and it is broken. We boarded plane, got on runway, sat for an hour, returned to gait and devoarsed and have been waiting for 2 additional in the terminal.

Was supposed to be in Mexico last night. Made it from LAX to DFW before American cancelled my flight until tomorrow. I got pissed and just came back to Louisiana for the holidays. Now I have wait to go to Mexico at the end of the month on my way back to Cali.

Golfer posted on the travel board that MSY is out of de-icing fluid... Nothing will leave if that is the case

In which case, I was right. Be mad at the airport.

Airlines own/lease these services. Not MSY.

Checking in. Was leaving out of Dayton through Atlanta. Everything was canceled in Atl. Drove to Columbus and now waiting for flight home through Detroit.

Fun stuff.

Really? The airlines are responsible for keeping the tarmac clear? I honestly never knew that. That's interesting.

De-icing fluid is for the aircraft. Not the tarmac,

Ok you know what, I don't need your attitude.

I was thinking of the salt and other chemicals used to clear tarmacs.
