I went to a hotel with this chic I met after d'etat. She apparently slipped a drug in my drink, because I don't remember anything except for waking up in a bathtub of ice. They were kind enough to leave me a letter telling me that to go to a hospital immediately because you were missing a kidney. They stole my fricking kidney.

Parents had a gas station on the corner of Lee Circle and Howard Avenue. What do you want to know?

Endymion was always the craziest day. One year a few hours before the flambeauxs started, these Pikes from Tulane had parked their fire truck at the edge of the gas station property. These baws from LSU were on the neutral ground and they started yelling at each other. It proceeded into full beer cans and almost an all out brawl before nopd calmed everybody down via horseback. Shortly after, some bro was in cuffs and the nopd was walking him in the middle of the street between the barricades. The crowd started cheering for the guy in cuffs who was wasted, decided to run while he was cuffed. The nopd of course caught him and took him to the ground with force and put him in the paddy wagon. Later that night, dudes were pissing all over the place and my stepdad got the firehose and started spraying everyone who has hopped the fence. Some bro cut the hose and my stepdad lost his shite. This baw who was a mechanic who worked for my parents was separating them, the drunk baw took a swing at my stepdad and the the mechanic baw laid him out with a devastating left hook. Drunk baw fell into the tire leak deal that was now full of piss and was knocked out. Meanwhile crowd started to gather and cheer the whole thing on and tossed the mechanic and my stepdad beers. Nopd came over and arrested poor drunk baw. It was goat.

Knew a guy who was partying on bourbon when the police went chasing someone with batons. Guy got clocked in the face on the back swing. Had a black eye for weeks.
Knew another guy who told his friends he was getting sex for parking spots. Actually he was on the down low giving favors to guys not to blow his cover.

It was the old Exxon Lee Circle on Howard avenue. They would sell 6 packs of beer for $15 and sell wristbands for clean bathrooms for $20 a day. This was mid to late 90s.

I used to hang at Lee Circle in that time frame and I believe every word of that story. Those were the days when you could get drunk and fight without someone shooting a fricking gun at you. Plus, NOPD would whip your arse but let you out of the paddy wagon after a couple of hours without charges. That was awesome.

Endymion was the only one that directly passed directly in front of the gas station. We'd always have a combo of family and friends down there and it was out of control most of the time. I would work some as the doorman into the convenience store or the bathroom line. Back then it was a huge convenience store and like 10 mechanics bays, pretty big property. Some of my most vivid memories as a teenager was being down there for Mardi Gras.

Can you make the same argument for people walking down bourbon street? They now spray some smell good stuff all along the sides of the road.. but only when Bourbon st isn't too busy..

Well holy fricking shite. What a story

I can see you stuck in the middle of bourbon in your chair. While 50k people are squeezed together nuts to butts, your head is dick level with everyone. Jesus chris.
