My cousin has spent her last 15 years of life in a Tennessee prison for 1st degree murder. Not sure how long her sentence is. Got caught up in meth and two nasty meth heads dudes. They used her car for a drug deal. The three of them were in the car, with a couple(guy and girl) in the backseat. One of her friends turned and shot them dead in the backseat of her car, they pushed the car off the road at a creek. Her dad saw all the police cars and everything on his way home from work that day, not knowing his daughter's car was down there.

She's a decent person.

Some people in the thread don't seem to understand how powerful addiction can be.

Steve o was the first time I saw someone huffing a big canister, not just one of those single crackers you buy at the porn shop or headshop.

And at festivals or concerts people will have the tanks filling up balloons.

Honestly I never liked it when I tried. Made me feel light headed and stupid for a few seconds. Not really something I was interested in.

Happened to my ex SIL. Beautiful girl with a good career and now she’s a sickly looking stay at home wife with a couple of rehabs on her resume. Her nervous system seems all out of whack now as well.

It takes like 6 months to rehabilitate someone. If he just went to detox and came home, it’s not enough. I have a close family member who got hooked on pills and fentanyl. They went to a live-in program for like 8 months and they are an employed, fully functional member of society and are a good parent to their kids. Long-term rehab is worth the money. After 8 months, the person is no longer a drain on their family or society.

Don't give up hope! It's very common for rehab centers to pump patients full of meds and many of the meds they use cause the exact same side effects you described like being disassociated or "fried." He has to adjust to the meds or the doctors have to adjust his meds. Give it some time.

Yes.

My great-Uncle was a prizefighter in NOLA in the 1930s. He got addicted to heroin and died on the Bowery's Skid Row in NYC.

My friends in hs had a father who was a dentist. We decided to try out the NO tank while lounging in the dentist chair. Total professional setup. You could change the percentage of oxygen and nitrous. It was a lot of fun just laughing out asses off for about 30 min. That was the last time I tried something like that

We all have one—-serious advice…go to an ACTS retreat. Call your local Catholic Church…you dont have to be catholic to participate…

My cousin's daughter is an addict. She has stolen from every member of the family. Her physical appearance suggests that she has contracted hepatitis, probably from a dirty needle.

Do t give up bro!

1. Get him involved with a fellowship group, help him find the Lord & go with him. It’s like building a natural “sponsorship program”.

2. As far as the “brain damage”, bring him to Dr. Harch on the Westbank. World renowned HBOT specialist. He has a book that shows brain scans of drug addicts that looked like their brains were eaten by rates like a piece of cheese. He does the real deal Hyperbarics, army vets, sports figures with CTE, you name it.

I went there because I e had a ton of concussions playing ball and rough housing goring up in the city and martial arts training on/off most my life. Put my head thru hell I guess. My scans looked like I was a full time boxer Dr. Harch said.

Little girl next to me getting treatment was blind from her mother passing it during birth because she had an STD, as God is my witness, the little girl began to get traces of color at the Aquarium downtown. These parents flew in from Cali.

So if you love your bro.

1. Get him right with the Lord & Fellowship, I’m sure your parents would love doing that as a family!

2. Call Dr. Harch (504) 309-4948

Too early to give up bro! Give it all you got for your parents if anything else. Because they will never give up & you’ve got to be the Man of the house and give them strength. And I do that by getting stronger with God personally!

*** Call Dr. Harch (504) 309-4948 - he has treated LSU sports and players, he’s the man!

My ex-BIL is fricked on every drug you can imagine. My sister was dumb enough to marry him twice

Bad part is he’s inherited a bunch of money and that’s not good for a crack head. Has nothing to do with my two nephews and just gets high everyday.

Yep. My mom.

She’s 81 about to go on Hospice. How she lived this long is a miracle, but her existence has been miserable. Destroyed her body as well.

Before the nursing home landing, she was up to 34 Lortabs a day at 66. She entered the home shortly after.

Between Big Pharma pushing pills and china pushing fentanyl, opioids have become a scourge on this country.

Absolutely awful what has been done. It's pharmaceutical warfare

I  am lucky. Don't know a single family member who's ever had drug problems. A few alcoholics (mostly functioning alcoholics) but no one who just lays around shooting heroin or smoking meth.

Same. Virtually all the addicts I've known were/are trying to suppress shame.

I wish I could agree with that. Our family member's experience has not been that way at all. I have long since given up on her. She's still in the crossbar hotel and has more charges coming because of drugs.
