Anyone get locked out of alumn.lsu.edu email account?

All of a sudden I can’t access my email from alumni email account and it won’t let me sign in. Says locked out and to contact account admin. No idea who that is. Is anyone else having same problem or atill able to access?

F lsu and their email and liberal bullshite. I’m embarrassed to say I’m an alumni. I should have saved the money and went Southeastern where I went for grad school. Any typos and grammar errors proves I’m an lsu grad.

The alumni association ended the service on 6/10. If you did not receive the notices, you probably opted out of their marketing emails.
I suggest calling their offices tomorrow. Ask the awesome Ms. Cooper to connect you with Jan. She might be able to allow you access to the account. Big maybe, though.
They prepared a document that can guide you on migrating your email. Ask for that.

It's pretty crappy for universities to cancel promised long-term email support tied to alumni interest and possible donations. But, there are some reasons.
1. LSU like all others subs it's email services out. LSU currently uses Microsoft. The contract with MS specifies who can use the service and how much users categories cost. Those specifications are getting stricter and stricter. Current employees and students may be the limit now without a large added cost.
2. In our security stressed world email addresses have become a very important security parameter. Universities and their subcontractors want tight control of all users.

Thanks for the advice. I called and then emailed Jan and was told I’d get 48 hours to access email and redirect to another account. I never received a notice of email termination and they said bc I probably opted out of marketing emails. I had access and received emails through June 26th so they didn’t stop June 10.
