I’m sure it has some positive effects for pain management and spasticity et al. The problem is, every pothead advocates it as the best for pain (vs oxycodone) and the best for spasticity (vs baclofen) and the best for muscle spasms (vs robaxin) and the best for neuropathic pain (vs gabapentin) and the best for appetite stimulation (vs megace)

Weed is what you would call a cure-all drug.

Wrong. I don't even know what spasticity is, much less how to treat it.

Yea and it’s fabulous. Take dabs, and edibles and you will not be thinking about pain. Opioids suck.

I had back surgery not too long ago and was prescribed 3 of the drugs you listed. Marijuana has been a solid substitute for all of them.

Does it work well for pain? Not a smoker so I thought I would ask the OT

Why the frick would you want to use something far less effective. If you're in pain, take the pills like a normal person. They work extremely well.

Pot is great for getting high. Opiates are great for killing pain.

If you’re high enough I’d think you’d be distracted from the pain.

I’d rather the pain pills personally

People are dumb and think if you take one pill you’ll become addicted and within a month be sucking dick in exchange for H

Could be. I don't usknow more that 10-15 mg at a time, over that the high is uncomfortable to me.

Instead of going the traditional painkiller route

Way better
way safer, cleaner, and no nausea, but I think opiates are a better high and better with pain than weed.

Pain pills make me sociable, energetic, and confident, where as weed makes me feel awkward, tired, and anxious.

THC for the high. High CBD for the pain.

a high dose of edibles (50+ mgs) gives me an almost dissociative effect. So I suppose it can be effective for pain in that way.

Ive been a daily smoker for about a year and a half now. It helps with mild pain for me, but its not some huge pain killer. For me, its more about inflammation. I have back issues from a rugby injury and have battled gout in my feet for about 6 years. I havent had a major case of gout since I started smoking and I havent majorly changed my diet other than not really drinking anymore now that I smoke.

Other pros for me:I can go to sleep within 10 minutes every single night. Low anxiety. Really helps my anger. Ive lost 30 pounds since I started smoking. Smoking before working out or running is great. Gets that libido going.

Cons:Decriminalized here but still technically illegal. Even though Im usually great with my urges to eat, some really good strains will cause you to eat like a pig. Smell.

shite, 20 mg damn near put me under a few days ago. I couldn't remember a thing and got fricking lost trying to walk it off.

But I've noticed here that the Mg means little. One day a couple caps knock you down the next you don't feel it. Quality control is most likely inconsistent.
