So. We have been working at St. Dominic and living in Brookhaven for around 15 years. So we are night nurses. Some of you get this.
I woke up around 0430 to walk out back and stretch my legs. I always grab a glass of tea ( redneck). So before I walked out, I poured one.
Then my left hand poured it on the floor. I used to be a carpenter and had just finished installing some very nice wood floors in the kitchen.

So. I grabbed the dish towel that hangs on the stove handle and threw it on the floor. I wiped it up with my right foot as my wife was coming into the kitchen.Then I poured my fricking tea back into my goddam glass.

The rest is pretty clear at first, then it it gets pretty bad. I mean the numbness, vomiting, pain and all that but there's a lot before that.

My Heather said "your choice...ambulance or I drive. You are having a bad stroke". She kinda yelled.
So she drove me to KDMC.
I refused the chopper...cause who knows what fricking idiot might kill or hurt half his family due to stupidity on the interstate? I've worked in enough emergency rooms to know that. Also...the time difference was only a few minutes.

My friend from my ER days got me there faster that any chopper.
Straight to CT. Then to interventional radiology where the real shite got done.
Cleared a completely occluded right carotid and got a mammoth clot out out of my right middle cerebral artery. Then he blasted it all with tpa and backed with anti spasmodic melds.
Saved me.
