They are trash

Added a line for wife, said I would get a free phone, first few months bill shows device charge. I call and let them know. They say this is standard will get a credit after a few cycles then it will be credited every cycle. This never happens and I call them out on it, said the associate misunderstood the promotion it didn’t apply because it was a new number not ported over. Says associate is no longer employed there and there is nothing they can do at any level and it has gone to the highest level of customer retention.

Update: filed a formal notice of dispute with AT&T and sent it to them by certified mail, I received a call and follow up email from the “office of the president” they admitted no wrongdoing but they credited the full value of the phone and another 100 dollars for my trouble. So 750.00 my way.

Yeah they suck. Might as well cance the contact and make them waive the fee.

Can always sign right back up.

No, but those assholes owe me $99 for an install they never did when I moved.

Long story short- they botched the date, wanted me to wait 10-days before the could come and install. I canceled service with them because I was able to get next day service for cheaper with Xfinity. Final bill comes with the $99 charge.

Total bullshite.

If you have it in writing, sue them. If you don't have it in writing, you are a schmuck and now you are smarter.

I am fully convinced they purposely confuse thier billing so that they can slip in charges to customers without thier knowledge.

Probably raking in billions of dollars because of it.

I owe them a lot of money because after having them for two years before the flood they told me I signed a new contract when I moved. They sent me to a debt collector and now I owe them $600. No way in hell I am paying that.

And you, sir, are free to walk instead of coming here to whine like a little bitch. Maybe Brittany from 2 On Your Side will lend you a sympathetic ear.

They absolutely suck! I’ve tried to take them to arbitration but apparently they just throw my registered letters away. I’m tempted to hire a lawyer but it’s probably not worth it. They suck!

AT&T bends every time I call them to complain. They give me credit every time.

Sad how much I've had to call and complain though.

AT&T is one of the worst companies to deal with. Their service is crap, too. Pne can always tell is someone is on one their phones.

Go into the store > ask for manager > if they aren’t going to help ask for area manager > if no help ask for director > if no help ask for next level.

You will eventually get to someone that will say, “just credit this dude $650 and be done with it so I don’t have to deal with it”

Profit

When At&t installed fiber in my area the contractors they hired destroyed my front yard. Went from a decent lawn to a wasteland of dirt and mud overnight. I got the run around from the contracted company, then At&t, then At&t's property damage people.

As bad as cox may be I've always gotten decent customer service from them. I was considering trying out at&t's internet when I heard it was becoming available, but now, as far as I'm concerned, at&t can suck it.

Something similar happened to me with Verizon over bill credits, employee didn’t understand the promotion, no longer with the company, etc. Ask to speak to the manager and they will usually negotiate. I negotiated a 300 dollar credit over 3 months in lieu of a 450 dollar credit that I was owed.

It was that or go through the hassle of breaking a contract and that ordeal. Sometimes it’s best to just get what you can and file it away for next time.
