Anyone else's wife plan to keep the kids on schedule?

My kids have on line schooling starting tomorrow. I’m sure it won’t be the full curriculum but they will need to be on a schedule.....I hope. They are like wild animals without some sort of structure.

We already homeschool, so nothing changes for my kids. They aren't happy.

Not plans but she does have far fetched fantasies of keeping 5, possibly more, kids on schedule.

My wife is a teacher. So naturally yes she is planning a little something for my two kids.

My oldest thrives on having a set schedule though. So I don’t view it as a negative.

You will find that when they aren't held back by the antiquated education system and the slowest kid in class that they can get all their daily learning done in an hour. If not, your kid is probably the slowest kid in class.

I actually think this situation could lead to a boom in homeschooling when people realize they can educate their kids in a fraction of time of the typical 8 hr school day.

If you decide to homeschool your children this month make sure you cover the mandatory government indoctrination lectures too!

We have a 7 and a 1 year old, so the 7 year old will do schoolwork when the 1 year old takes her morning and evening naps.

That's pretty much the only schedule we are going to follow and its really just to keep the 7 year old quiet during that time.

3rd grade and PreK. We are waking them up at the normal time so we can go to work, but we have a morning plan in place for the 3rd grader to do whatever online assignments they have been assigned. PreK gets an extended summer, but we will try to stay busy with something like craft time and PE time scheduled to some degree. It’s more to keep them organized so our lives aren’t disrupted as much as they would be without some structure.
