A lot of people in the oil industry are losing their jobs. If it bothers OP to listen to it then he needs to tune it out and quit being a douche bag and making posts about it. I hope everyone bitching about listening to people bitch about losing their job, loses their job.

Fair enough, but I'm not making a doomsday prediction. I'm just trying to educate people on what even lower gas prices will entail. Obviously I've got no clue what will happen, neither do you, but the last 3 weeks should help people understand what is happening in energy and, more importantly, why it is happening.
It isn't that $20/bbl is good for America and $100/bbl is bad, or vice versa. However, all else being equal, $20/bbl is the result of things that are NOT good for America and $60-$100/bbl are the result of things that are good for us.

Definitely not according to the people I talk to. They're projecting 2018 turnaround at the earliest.

I'm pretty sick of it too. It's usually women that don't work that are bitching bc their uneducated husbands have gotten laid off, and now they have to look for a job to help support the family.

I asked you in the other thread but you ignored it, so I'll ask it here again:
What is the logical difference in telling someone you don't have any sympathy for them because they're in a volatile career field and telling someone you don't have any sympathy for them because they chose to live in a city that is under sea level and in one of the most vulnerable areas to hurricane damage?
I'm not arguing the scale of the events, but there is no difference in the logic. Everyone involved had a choice and should have been well aware of the risks involved. One group gets your sympathy and the other gets a "frick you" from many on this board.
