I call bullshite on this statement. ANY time I have looked into buying a vehicle I factored 4 things. Cost of the car, insurance cost, price Id spend on gas per month, and future resale value. If you cant afford to pay the gas, dont buy the car. That seems like common sense to me.

They should have chosen a car that was less affected by a volatile industry. Am I doing this right??

They're BADDDDDDD about it.
I know how much all of my plant worker friends make. Because they tell me. Often.

There's also a law that restricts the price a gallon of milk can be sold for. Fresh Market had to quit putting it on sale.
That's a Louisiana thing. I never pay more than $2.50 tops for a gallon of milk here...it's always on sale for around $1.99 at most grocery stores.

Several states have it and yes Louisiana is one
Eta: and I have no idea what I pay, just remember seeing the article on the law and thought how dumb it is

I usually live modestly enough that I could survive a major depression and survive an extended job loss. It's a forgotten quality, the economy depends on maxing us all out

When a shite load more people get laid off in the next few months, and all these welfare queens get to sit around and shove food we're paying down their filthy sewer pie holes, how long before there's some political pressure applied to this governor to start drug testing these clowns for their welfare?

Yea I mean I get it it sucks but I doubt they were feeling too sorry for everyone else when the economy was in the tank and gas was nearly $4 a gallon.

I'm just hoping this cuts down on the amount of "oilfield trash & proud of it" truck decals driving around Lafayette.
edit: also the
"oilfield trash making oilfield cash"
and who can forget everyone's favorite
"spoiled oilfield wife"
