2 hours and 26 minutes total, in and out, the whole no giving gifts since the kids have grown up policy saved some serious time.

They covered this topic on "Everybody Loves Raymond".

He took out a map of his parents' house. He drew two circles around them at different sizes. He said if they moved within the inner circle, it's close enough for his parents to visit everyday. If they moved outside the larger circle, his parents would have to stay a few days when visiting because of the long drive. He said they need to find a place between the two circles. It's close enough for them to visit occasionally for a day.

I spoke on the phone with family for 11 minutes and 12 seconds....


The first 3 minutes were fine....the last 8 and 12 seconds were watching paint dry painful
