Same. I make more money in the stock market when oil is high than it costs me at the pump. There is a level where it starts to hurt the overall economy though. $80-90 is probably the sweet spot. It's nowhere near all time highs though.

What if I told you it was - $0.00

Oil hit an all-time high in 2008 IIRC. I remember gas being close to $5/gallon here. I had a Ram with a Hemi and a 20 mile commute to work

Didn’t the US just announce they aren’t filling the SPR right now because prices are too high?

They've had plenty of opportunities to do it over the past couple of years.

In the early 1980s, concurrent with the OPEC embargo, oil prices experienced a "rapid decline." In early 2007, the price of oil was US$50. In 1980, globally averaged prices "spiked" to US$107.27, and reached its all-time peak of US$147 in July 2008.

Mid should be a question.

Why has mid grade and premium gas gotten so expensive when 87 is pretty much flat?

I loathe the days after Gustav when it hit over 4 dollars a gallon for regular.

But back in those days 10 cents usually seperated 87, 89, and 93 octane.

Per OMLandshark last year it was to be $8.00. So that's a plus.

Per OML we aren't supposed to have any food right now. I'm supposed to be eating squirrels and cats and such.
