That's not how it works. There is always someone else. No one inventor is solely responsible for something existing. Someone else would have created it shortly thereafter, it's usually just timing. Myspace before Facebook, Palm Pilot before Smart phones, Xerox before Microsoft/Apple.
What it does do is keep the barriers to entry low enough where you can drive more innovation through competition.
Hard to start a new general store to compete against Walmart with 11,000+ stores, much easier to open a general store when Walmart had only 38 stores.

Competition does not mean actually having many firms compete, it means allowing a system where firms CAN compete. Huge difference
It isn’t implausible for competition to result in only a couple of firms coming out on top.

True but it's also more likely there's less competition. Big banks can't fail, but nearly all small banks are out of business?
Banks, Car companies, Airlines, Cell carriers, etc, and other oligopolies that control political interests.

How does instituting a maximum wage stop this? Here's a hint: it doesn't.
The problem isn't the income of the CEO. It's the government having the power to pick winners and losers.

Why the frick would I vote for politicians who look out for the ultra-wealthy but don't give 2 shits about me?
Why the frick would you vote for politicians who want to increase your tax burden to fund social welfare programs that you don't use?
And if you think the democrats are looking out for you, you're very, very naive.
Republicans look out for the rich and leave the poor and middle class to their own fate.
Democrats look out for the rich and poor by taking money from the middle class and giving it to the poor.
If you're a six figure baller like you say, the answer of which is the least destructive to your lifestyle should be rather apparent.

Exactly
U.S. Government Deficit Grew 17% in Fiscal 2018
Who's the party of growing tax burdens again? And who are the biggest recipients of welfare?

These tax laws expire in 2023, but the corporate tax laws don't expire
This may have been addressed already, but this is because the dems didn’t vote for the bill. If they could have received 60 votes in the senate there wouldn’t be a sunset.

First, your link doesn't work.
The party that enacted the pyramid scheme social programs we can't pay for?
The poor?

will people stop working because they can't be trillionaires?
They would certainly stop working to earn what would be 100% taken. This truly idiotic law would have zero effect other than stifling innovation. Can you not think it all the way through? How much would the country benefit form 100% on money over [insert irrelevant amount] when nobody works to make a cent over the limit? what is 100% of 0?
Maximum wage law, fricking
One caller from WA State said he and his wife both gave up big money jobs and went into a maintenance type mode of living rather than continue to pay the lifestyles of multiple others based on what they were paying in taxes on their previously huge incomes.
This is what will occur with income taxation on the wealthy. They will reach their desired standard of living and then cash out and maintain only.

It keeps companies from becoming too large, and instituting predatory practices.
The Rich have no motivation to get richer. It's like a full stomach, the rich get to eat first and eat as much as they want...until their stomach is full. The way we have it now, there's no motivation to stop gorging yourself if you have an infinite stomach.

How does restricting the wage of an individual employee of a corporation keep it from becoming too large? You do understand a corporation is beholden to its shareholders, not CEO right?
