Supposedly 5G is an upgrade to LTE.

AT&T doesn't have 5G yet. Only Verizon does and only in about 10 cities in certain areas of the city. And then you have to have a 5G capable phone in order to get 5G. If you have all that and are close to a node, you can pull down over 1gb.

Idk what the differences are between Verizon and ATT’s 5G, but I certainly have it now and when i was in Austin earlier this year.

That's not 5g. It's just the Icon. My S9+ shows the Icon all over Nola.
And FWIW 50mb down is not uncommon on LTE in Nola and Br.

I have the 5Ge. Does the little "e" stand for Extra slow?
On the flip side, I now have 2 bars where I usually have 1 so that is an improvement.

shite, you're right. I just tested it on LTE in NOLA and got 146 down and 21 up
