Anyone Else Occasionally Experience Sleep Paralysis/Lucid Dreams?

Just experienced sleep paralysis. Was fully lucid in a very believable setting for what felt like hours. Fully aware while inside of the dream and just having a conversation while watching tv with some friends when I suddenly realized I wasn’t awake. Things then started to change like my subconscious became aware of what was happening too. That caused me to wake up, but I was still somehow halfway in and out of both worlds. That part seems hard to convey at the moment.
But, now I was awake. Couldn’t move an inch, and then in real life eerie noises sounded and dark shadowy figures started emerging. Felt completely immobilized physically, and honestly a bit terrified, but could still close my eyes and drift back into the exact dream state effortlessly. So I did that to escape, but at this point it was hard to decipher which side was real.
My friends were still present in the dream so I started frantically trying to tell them what was happening when all the sudden I was cast out of the dream and back into my room. Still frozen, I began seeing and hearing that same shite from before. Literally felt like it took all of my might to lunge forward before I could break free and move then started gasping for air like a panic attack or something. The noises and shadows had faded away but I could feel myself kinda being lulled back to sleep. I had to take control of it so I rolled out of bed and managed to make it to the bathroom to take a piss.
frick that shite.

Yes, usually it's because I ate something bad or my sleep schedule has been disrupted by having to pull an all nighter and I'm trying to get back on schedule. The only way to shake it is to come fully awake, turn some lights on, walk around, and then try and go back to sleep.

Just had the same thing happen for the first time a few months ago.
It felt like I woke up as "something" was pulling the covers off of me. As i sat up in bed, I was pushed back down and held down while this dark figure screamed in my face this awful shrieking sound! When I tried to move, I physically felt the hands holding me down and I could not move for what seemed like 2-3 minutes. When it stopped, I sat up and turned the light on and just sat there for about an hour.
It seemed so real that when I told my wife about it the next morning, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Scared the shite out of me!!!

Gee thanks for putting a face on it now for me the next time this happens. If she shows up I’ll try torping but that could just piss her off. Might have to record this.

I'm just glad I knew what sleep paralysis was before it happened to me the first time.
I woke up and couldn't move, but because I had heard of it before, I just closed my eyes and went back to sleep before I could see all of the freaky shite.
Have experienced it about 2 or 3 times.

Yes, but didn’t experience the evil feeling. I just couldn’t move. So I just told myself to relax and slowly allowed my body to “wake up” and made myself move. It is scary. I’ve read about the hag, but, thankfully, didn’t experience that. It’s been some years ago that happened and hopefully doesn’t happen again. The last time it did, I just prayed in Jesus’ name case it was evil. I feel like it happens if we wake up while in a deep sleep, but body not awake yet. Idk

Yes I've had it before where i could not move at all, but i knew i was awake. I then felt my dog jump on my bed and curl up next to me. I felt the mattress bounce and the heat coming off her. It felt 100% real. When i finally got the "strength" to get moving. My dog was in her kennel sound asleep.

It happens to me. I know that I'm dreaming, yet it seems real to me and when I wake, it takes a few moments to sort through to what's real and what is not.
There have been a couple of dreams so real that I remember details to this day. A couple I experienced were so pleasant that I wish they would repeat themselves or experience in real life.
Edit:
I re-read the thread and missed the question: No, I have not experienced paralysis.

I suffered from sleep paralysis for a while. I figured out I was drinking caffeine too close to going to sleep. Stopped that and haven’t experienced it in years. Scary stuff.

I use to experience a few times a year but haven’t for the last 5 or so years.
It used to scare me because it always happened when I was face down in the pillow. Felt like I couldn’t breathe but I couldn’t lift myself up either. I would struggle to get up but couldn’t move. When I would eventually snap out of it, I would shoot up and make a huge gasp for air.
First time my wife seen me experience it, she freaked out.

Once. It was the most awful dream like experience I've ever had.

I used to have lucid immobilizing dreams similar to that back in my 20’s. Very scary at first but were interesting after I became accustomed to them. They stopped when I had kids.

Yep. I first experienced it in my early teens, and I’m 47 now. It was terrifying for the longest time. When it first started up my eyes would also produce extra secretions and make it very difficult to open them. I stayed at my Dad’s on weekends and this would happen around 3am on what felt like every Sunday morning for a long time. I remember my Dad actually coming and checking on me once because of the noise / struggling I was making. Dreams were always a negative experience. I also had the shadowy figures or dark presence and the simplest way I can describe them is dread and an absence of love, I suppose evil would work too. The worst event was having thoughts in my mind that were not mine and waking to that darkness just off of my bed. I’m not one that scares easily but I will not set foot on the property where that happened (the shed at 1610 E Yale Fresno, Ca). Yes, I lived in a shed from 10 to 15 years old. I have not had that experience anywhere else that I’ve lived.
Sleep paralysis is something I’ve learned to manage. I avoid sleeping on my back as that will trigger it. If it does happen it seems to originate from the base of my skull/neck area and I can snap myself out of it now but it does take considerable effort. There is no panicked feeling like when I was young. It used to be a terrifying experience to be fully aware of your surroundings and unable to move a muscle and now it’s an annoyance at best. I tried to avoid sleeping in my teens and early 20s
it just wasn’t worth it when the bad stuff happened.
