Anyone else notice LA inspection sticker quality diminishing over the years?

The last 2-3 stickers I've had have all rolled up like this. I don't recall that ever happening before recent years.
Are budget cuts even affecting this?

Clean your window before getting a new sticker.

Mine be like that too. But I just took it off.

Yep. The state was supposed to have fixed that recently and the new tags have better adhesive

My hasn't rolled up, but it does look like only half of it is stuck to the window. And that's after about 3 or 4 months.

Yea they were pretty shitty but it seems the latest ones are good to go. And you probably shouldn't be on your phone while driving.

Funny this thread pops up today. I just taped mine to the windshield today because it was doing the same thing. I used some heavy duty packing tape, so hopefully it stays.
I don't think cleaning the window would have made a difference, this is a brand new vehicle.

Inspection stickers are such a huge ripoff, especially if you live in the parishes that require an emissions test.

Was just talking about this exact thing earlier today. My wife's car is the same way, with the sticker from the lot.

My mom (no pics) got one in Nola about a year ago and it started peeling like this a few months later. She went back and they said it was a bad batch and gave her a new one. Unfortunately the new one still had the original date on it- they wouldn't extend the date. Just replaced the sticker.

Holy crap, I saw one like that the other day. This is a real phenomenon.

I had to do this a few years ago.

And whether you clean your window or not, before going get an inspection, they usually clean the area before putting on the sticker.

My previous 3 had 1 good stick, the rest have rolled up.
The difference was in the person applying them I noticed.
The one that stuck was a guy who handled it very carefully and made sure to keep his fingers off the adhesive.
The 2 that rolled up were from a woman that this last time I noted had just applied hand lotion and handled the sticker lackadaisically getting her fingers on the adhesive.
Ya don't think that greasy hand lotion had anything to do with the non stick issue do ya? Clear silicone glue sure works to keep the things from rolling up and comes off cleanly with the razor blade scraper btw.

The 2 on my 02/18 has almost completely faded away somehow.
