Anyone else notice an overnight change in coworkers email communication likely due to AI?

It's funny seeing some of my colleagues who could barely type a complete sentence not long ago all of a sudden sending polite, structured and thoughtful emails now.
For the record I am all for it especially if it helps efficiency but I wonder if these people think they are actually fooling anyone?

And my opinion of them is lowered.
You can use AI to do your grunt work for you, but when you send something in writing that has your name on it, you should have been the one who wrote it.

I have had a client suddenly start asking very in depth questions well beyond her vocabulary. It was very obvious.

I don’t doubt there are cases like OP where it’s obvious.
But your line reeks of “they are writing better than me so it must be AI on general principles” that I see all too often.

Nope. Ai got a distinctive sentence structure, tone and flow to it always using the queen's english. You read enough if it day-to-day and it stands out like a sore thumb.

What's the trick to stump the AI bots? I was just on the phone with UPS and it was clearly an AI dbag and "she" kept using the wrong words. I saw a blurb a couple months back about how to stump them but I forgot what the method was.

I have commenced to rahtin' up mah e-mails in sech a manner that the recipient can purty much figger out what mah accent sounds lahk when they read through it. This has purty enshored that they ain't gonna git the remotest idear that I would ever use AI to raht ennything.

One day not too long ago I said something in a room full of people about "the day I need AI for e-mail is the day I need to retire..." Apparently almost everyone that was in the room is using AI for that purpose.

100% - off shore IT comes across as more competent than on shore lately. Not saying much - t1-t3 on shore IT is packed with DIE employees

On the other hand, I just wrote an email on Google and it rewrote it by default. So I had to go in and figure out how to turn that shite off. AI is getting pretty annoying. All these automatic changes can kiss my arse.

I never had time to do so much writing analysis when I was working.
