Was very busy running around yesterday around lunch and at first thought about grabbing something via drive through but given the cleanliness of fast food workers during normal times changed my mind.

Anyone else in a similar boat or am I being overly cautious?

What are you eating then? You think the trucks that deliver groceries are squeaky clean?

Think about it.

So go grab that jar of peanut butter from your pantry that god knows know many people touched at the store
Or buy a loaf of bread 20 people pushed on to see if it was fresh

Went to a BK last week. The person at the window and others I could see were wearing gloves and mask.

I have been avoiding any fast food that is not 100% fried in 350 degree oil. No steam tables, no bread, no cold vegetables.

Popeyes 2 piece. No bread
CFA nuggets/fries. No tea.
Captain D's fish/fried okra/fries/hushpuppies. No coleslaw.

I have gotten sick more from dining in and take out from restaurants than I have from fast food. Now that I think about it I don't think I've ever been sick from fast food

Im well aware how the inside of truck look. However, I am not eating anything that directly touched the trailer. It is all packaged. Yes the outside may have been dirty/contaminated but it’s not like they throw the steaks onto the floor of the trailer.

True, just recognizing that if you avoid fast food for those reasons then there are similar risks to all options

Unless you’re a farmer, which would be pretty badass in these times

I've stopped going to McDonald's just for a tea whenever I'm in the city. Ate from fast food twice in the last 2 weeks...once at a place where I could give them exact change and my wife brought home Arby's last night.

We've "carried out" a few times to support our small community businesses. We ate a big arse stuffed pizza & cheesy bread one night and the Mexican place pissed me off by not actually doing the curbside pickup as advertised. Had to go in (touching two doors) and those frickers had about 15 people within a 10x5 area. I held my breath and took my arse into the dining area for distancing but then had to walk right into that 10x5 to pay for the food. My wife hit up DQ a few times for an evening treat.

I'm not comfortable with the chances we've been taking (I'm recovering from Christmas time lung issues) but it is better than going crazy staying at each other for 2 weeks straight.

Nope. Doing my best to help them in tjis time of need. If there ever was a time to visit a fast food joint, it is now.

They are over-sanitizing because of this crap.
