Saw them swear up and down it wouldn’t be the case for a family member and then sure enough, same thing. Wasn’t my spot to read the paperwork but seemed rather slimy.

They had a buy one get one free promotion back when me and my wife upgraded to the X. Everything was great till we got the bill and found out that was not the case. Dirty arse company.
Recently went to Verizon and got a hotspot device and had the easiest and most straightforward experience. Probably gonna switch soon.

This. Typically there new unlimited plans will cost more a month than your current rates. As least for me that was the case when I looked into it.

The catch is you have to subsidize the new phone cost over two years and they give you a $700 credit. So if you get an $800 phone, you pay tax upfront, a $30 one-time upgrade fee, then it's like $3 a month for two years for the remaining $100 difference. It's just a way for them to lock you in for 2 years. But still a good deal if you plan on staying with them.

Yep, they give you $700 in credit over 2 years if I remember correctly. So about $30 per month in credit. You have to pay the full remaining cost on the phone if you want to leave ATT.

The new Samsung note had a similar deal. A friend of mine did it but I dont like some of the changes.
