Netflix will probably pay to stay in the fast lane,

ISP's/cable companies will make the consumer pay the charge. They will double dip bandwidth and internet service to specific online media services like Netflix and Amazon.

Made the switch from Cox to Netflix, sling, & already had fire tv from prime membership.

Don't miss cox except for the DVR but that isn't worth the $120+/mo I'm saving.

I ditched DirecTV 3 years ago and got a fire stick.... Best decision ever

We bought my mom a fire stick for Christmas and convinced her to ditch cable. She's still commenting on how happy she is with the change.

What this means is they will overturn the current regulation that treats the internet as a utility and will allow the ISP's to charge extra for where you use your bandwidth
I really hope this doesn't happen but with the popularity of kodi and other streaming services.. I wouldn't be surprised.

Direct TV was disconnected yesterday and have gone with an attic antenna (ClearStream 2V) for BR stations, Netflix and Sling TV.
Also, in the process of copying some DVDs to an external drive.
Have had Direct TV since '05, but the charges make it a poor value for my viewing habits.

So $75ish already plus another $50-$85 for the Internet to run all of it which gets you pushing $150ish

25 bucks for Sling just so my wife can watch the Hallmark channel. Working on getting her to give that up.

Netflix shared with my son though we hardly use it.

Most people do not get Prime just for movies so that cost should not be included.

Don't have Hulu.

But you have valid point. One can easily spend just as much if they are not careful but there is also that stick it to the man warm feeling involved.

Well, prices will rise for all consumers in your theoretical scenario so I'll be paying the same as everyone else. They're not going to single out cord cutters and charge them more.
