42 is what I payed. They were ok. I've never thought Louisiana to have very salty oysters

Got a "half" sack from wilsons on the eastside of Houma the other day for 36 bucks. Probably only like 5 dozen. If I did it again I'd buy a whole sack.

today's ketch in chalmette. 40 bucks i think for half sack. they were salty and good (giggity)

I've bought two half sacks from tonys in btr in the last 3 weeks. First ones were the best la oysters I've ever had. Sweet and briney in a perfect balance. The ones for Christmas I had trouble eating raw, went with chargrilled and they were good. 26 a half sack

Got to tell you, never liked shucking my own oysters. You get any savings doing this? We have $.25 oysters up here in VA.

One of my favorite things to do with my dad and brother. Best oysters by far come out of plaqemine parish. We had some from port sulphur a couple years ago. fricking monsters. Hold on.

The oysters are really salty down here right now.. had some for Christmas BC my fiancé' family does it for a living

Yep got a sack from Collins in Golden Meadow last week and a sack from Wilsons the week before. Both were very salty.

I'm not a old guy or anything, but my dad grew up going out to Yugoslavian oyster camps out of 4 bayous and billet bay. He claims the sacks back then were much larger. Something like 20 dozen.

Opened a sack at the shop a few weeks ago. One of the guys got them in Lydia for $50. They were medium size & good.
We ate some raw & grilled a bunch. Opened the rest and put them up for a duck & oyster gumbo if it ever gets cold again.
