Dreams is older. Dirt fields. Nostalgia. They just got AC in the bunk houses.

Allstar is new. Turf fields.

There are different rules. I think Dreams does not allow grade exceptions on rosters but Allstars does.

That is all I can think of. I'm sure there is more.

Don't like that the boys stay in the barracks the whole time. All they do inbetween games is sit in their bunks and play on their phones. And they don't sleep well at all most of the nights. I think it would have been a lot more enjoyable if the kids were at the lake houses with their parents

my kid stayed the first two nights at the bunk and the rest of the time with us

Lots of swinging going on, don't be afraid to hook up with parents from other teams.

As someone who played there 20 years ago, staying in the barracks is one of the coolest aspects of it from the kid's perspective. Who cares if you don't get the best sleep. It's not like these games count for anything and there's no scouts watching.

As others have said, it's just a really cool experience. All the parents stay in lake houses and you end up there one or two nights. I went during the all star break so we all went to the lake house to watch the HR derby on our off night.

Go to the HOF. Go see Doubleday field. Then, when you get back to the city, stay a few days in New York. It was my first time really seeing the city. Went to a couple Yankee games with my dad. It was the perfect way to wrap up a 10ish day trip.

If you have the opportunity, do it. It's not your normal travel ball "world series" that you roll your eyes at. It's a once in a lifetime kind of thing.

mix of rec teams and super loaded teams - so crazy lopsided scores

In the coach's meeting pre tournament, they gave us a warning about not exhibiting sportsmanship since some are headhunting and some are just rec teams looking for fun. "If you're up by 30, we expect you to put in someone else to pitch and play station to station baseball. We will not hesitate to remove you and your team from the premises and have done so already this year"

The fields were immaculately kept, and the HOF was like Valhalla to me. I couldn't wait to get home and play my Strat-O-Matic HOF sets.

Went back in the 90's with my 10 year old team. Had a wonderful time.
Do they still give out the Little Majors rings? I still have mine!

We went 7-1 and got knocked out by the eventual champs, the Corona Yankees.

Does anyone have a comparison of Cooperstown Dream vs. Cooperstown All Star Village?

Dreams Park - Flat easy walking
All-Star Village - Have to hike a mountain straight up to get back to the parking lot.

The year we went, Carrolton out of New Orleans won the championship. The winning pitcher, Kade Anderson

Carrollton came in sixth in the tournament finished yesterday. We won seven straight before losing to a great team from Tampa.

Players, siblings, family had a blast. Hit Ommegang if you are into beer.
