Yes. The reason restaurants are even doing curbside is to keep their staff working, making tips. If you don't tip NICELY, you're a COMPLETE piece of shite. Eat at home, moron.

I'm trying to support my favorite restaurants by "eating out" a little more. How are you guys dealing with the tip for curbside?
I picked up some food a couple of days ago that ran about $50. I tipped the girl $20. Got some Uber Eats yesterday for $25. I tipped $10.
My wife and I are fortunate that our careers aren't affected by this and the DINK life has been kind to us. Other folks aren't so lucky and are going to struggle to make ends meet. So yeah, I'm tossing them some extra cash.

The fact that in times like these we are still arguing over takeout tips gives me strange hope.
*Generally for curbside I tip at least 10%, but now I would tip at least 25%.

20% just like I am eating in.

its actually great to see most of the people on here still working are treating it as a dine-in tip. I'm actually proud of the OT for once.
its the only thing that makes sense. i guess if you are laid off right now maybe lower it to 10% and you're still fine, none of the wait staff is gonna hate you for that. 0% is just unacceptable.
i have saved some cash by not going in and ordering 5 drinks with my meal anyway

20%. You know, like you would if you dine in, which you can’t right now. These people have had their income decimated. Don’t be a rat turd.

People like that who specifically mention tipping to you like that usually get a big zero from me

Usually 10% for takeout. Doing 20% during this pandemic but we've only eaten out once.

Why do poor people who can't afford to tip insist on eating take out? Save your paycheck you broke dick.

Tipping more than usual these days. Last night picked up from a small family run business and we know the owners. I even purchased a bottle of wine. Total was $110 and I tipped $20.

Two businesses I dont tip.
Pizza hut- cause I gotta wait 20 minutes linger than it says to pickup pizza.
- drive thru donut place in Gonzales. All you doing is handing me a bag thr a window

I agree. When I went I to get the food I wasn't planning on tipping figuring it was just like take out.
I only started thinking about it, after she pointed it out. In retrospect maybe a $3 tip was in order.
To all the negative posters who tell me I shouldn't even be getting curbside if I am not going to tip, is it really better for restaurants to have no business then serve what is essentially take out with no tip?
I get that they make most profit on drinks and alcohol which I am not getting curbside but are they actually losing money by just serving food?
Normally I dine out once a week, but I stepped it up during the lockdown to 3x per week to support the restaurants. Are you really saying that I am hurting them by ordering what is essentially take out and not tipping? I am not trying to give them charity, just extra business. From what I am seeing in Orlando/Kissimmee these places are barely getting curbside orders.

We get it. You’re cheap.

All are hurting, tip generously if you can, but definitely tip something.

Died it really matter Togo fatty you will get the Coronas & succumb so might as well tip because you can’t take it with you

I order Uber Eats the other day and clicked the 25% tip since these guys are helping us stay quarantined. It was the fastest I ever got food and arrived before the specified time, also there is no traffic so that may be another factor to the great service.
