1 the fact you had to think to tip at a food establishment is not good, but maybe no one taught you manners or to be courteous so it might not be your fault.
2 yes markup on booze is huge.
3 it’s not charity you got three meals.
4 these people live off tips and I don’t care what rock you live under, you know that fact
so tip them if you would want to be tipped in their shoes and your happy with the job they did.

As someone who worked in a restaurant for almost 8 years, including To-Go's, I never understood the point of tipping on takeout orders.

However, these people are struggling right now. Quite a few of my close friends still in the service industry have no income right now other than the tips they receive from curbside service. If you can, please keep that in mind when picking up your food. Help them out if you can.

My brother worked at FMB in Baton Rouge. He told me tip a minimum of 20 %. But have compassion during this difficult time. What is a few extra dollars when you have an essential secure job and others are nervous they won’t be able to buy things they need.

You can’t take the money with you when you die. Have a heart.
