But, you will build a tolerance for it and need more and more. If you are like me with an addictive personality, that is a major downside as you will run through the whole prescription in 2 weeks. Going the other 2 weeks without the drug sucks. Not physical withdrawal symptoms like opioids or alcohol, but psychological symptoms where you get super depressed because your brain has been riding the Adderall high.

If you cant sleep then you are either have too high of dosage or you dont really have ADD. Ive always taken a XR20mg in the morning and a regular 10mg at lunch. I wake up around 630 and can easily be snoring by 1030pm.my dr once prescribed 30mg XR and couldn’t go to sleep at all. Changed it back to the XR20mg and was sleeping like normal.

On another note, to the person who compared Adderall to a pre-workout, if you have that type of reaction, that sounds like someone who doesn’t have ADD. I feel normal on adderall but feel extremely jittery on a preworkout. And no I never took both at the same time.

Used to take Vyvanse, and prefer it, but changed insurance and Vyvanse is simply out of control from a pricing standpoint.

I’m in the same exact boat. Went from $20/month to $170/month with my new insurance, including the coupon. Had the authorization and everything

Even the pharmacist was like WTF.

Did you explain to them it was the adderall? I’m surprised the coroner didn’t let you go after a couple nights.

Found out earlier in my 20s that I needed a prescription, but chose not to get one because I didn’t want to be known as someone who needed medication.

That has got to be the dumbest position EVER! If you need medicine; take the damn medicine. You do not have to go around wearing a hat that say I'm on meds on it.

I’ve always been able to function decently without it, but I’ve taken it a couple times without a script and I function so much better.

1. I'm sure the DEA would like to have a little chat with you.

2. You answered your own questions about taking it.

Anyone here take it regularly? Does it help you focus?

Yep. I went from being on academic probation in college before I was prescribed it. My grades improved from C's and D's to nothing but A's (except for that C in organic chemistry 2) after I started, and I spent less time studying and more time partying. The only negative side effect is nor being able to get buzzed. I am either completely sober or sloppy drunk. There is no in between anymore and my typing has gone to shite.

Unfortunately you have missed the boat and doctors do not hand out meds like we used to, but if you have good insurance I will be happy to let you come sit in my office and charge you $200 and then refer you to a psychiatrist.

That’s how they do it here, only you pay $350 to get the referral.

We are currently having a special. If you come to our office for a referral and show us that you got busted by an undercover police officer either on campus or on TD; then we just charge you $200 and refer you to a psychiatrist because you obviously need mental help.

When you’re doing your partner missionary and you ejaculate on their forehead. That would be a rope.

I got way more social because I had free time and energy.

If someone is ADHD and a prescription is justified; I am going to go out on a bet and say that he does not have those habits.

Anyone can qualify as ADHD based on those stupid screenings. Basically if you procrastinate, get disinterested and restless in boring situations along with a bit of anxiety in general you'll qualify. Here's a BS self-assessment... LINK If you simply answer "sometimes" to 10 of the 18 questions, which would be expected for most, you're likely ADHD. What a joke.

I'll take a 5mg or 10 once a week in the AM.

Every other Saturday I'll take a 10mg at 6pm or so to catch my second wind until 6 am.

Helps with getting shite done.

Don't be embarrassed, if he still stays with you, obviously he doesn't care.

I’m prescribed Adderall.

The positives:
Increased Focus
Energy - I mean it’s fricking amphetamine
Attention to detail where you look to perfect things

Negatives:
You notice distractions much more
With the distractions you can get sidetracked and annoyed pretty easily
My appetite goes away and I have to make sure I eat. Not eating or bad eating habits doesn’t help you.

I'm sure it affects people differently. I preferred to stay in and read, write, play video games, work on shite around the house, etc. There were times I'd take it while already in a social situation and could become more talkative, though.

Yes, so it's important to commit to positive changes rather than sitting back and seeing what the drug inspires you to do, which is what I did at first.
