“Annie, are you OK?
You OK?
Are you OK, Annie?“
Turned out to be a smooth criminal.

My metal detecting buddy was shot through the upper arm while deer hunting. 12 gauge slug passed through his upper arm and somehow missed the bone. Heck of a scar. The shooter went on to become a hunter safety instructor, and for my friend it wasn't even close to being the worst day of his life. Toughest guy I've ever met.

I had a poster on here tell me he'd rather get shot than stabbed. I don't think a lot of people understand the tissue trauma created by a fragmenting bullet.
A surgeon would much rather deal with a stabbing victim than a gunshot victim.
Some poster on the OB was mistaken for a wild hog and shot by his friend. Irrc he nearly died .

I think that depends on the bullet and caliber obviously.
Getting stabbed in the wrong place can cause a hell of a mess.

Ex brother in law first maced me then shot me in the calf. Then tried to shoot me in the face but the piece of shite 32 jammed. It went straight through and didn't hit any bone. It didn't hurt but burned a good bit.

My brother shot me in the foot with an “unloaded” AR 15 when we were in our mid 20’s nearly point blank range. It went straight through. I have also passed a 6 mm kidney stone. But by far the worst pain I have ever endured was getting a catfish hook, that was stuck in the carpet, buried into my big toe all the way up to the eyelet. Then, having it ripped out by my brother with a pair of needle nose pliers. It filleted my toe open like a piece of steak. Nothing has ever came close to that level of pain and I hope it never does because it took about 8 weeks to fully heal

Cost me an eye and a career in the marines Easily in the Top 3 pain I've ever been in if not #1, the other 2 contenders being a tooth infection from a faulty root canal and kidney stones
Damn bro. What’s the story?

I was accidentally shot in the upper arm with a .22 rifle from about 30 yards away. I was lucky it didn't get lodged in my humerus and it didn't fragment. The shot hurt like hell, massive burning sensation, but having 2 drunk dipshits squeezing my arm and digging for the slug hurt far worse.

Imagine being hit with a hammer and then it starts burning like hell.

One of my good friends here got shot in the chest. he said he thought a hornet stung him. and he started jumping around like a mad man in the parking lot. it's on video.
wild story, he is an attorney and a hit got put out on him due to his involvement in a case. ex military guy shot him with a 22 from a parking garage across the street. he was bending over to put his briefcase in his car after work. missed his "kill box" in the center of his chest my centimeters. they caught the guy 2-3 months later. still waiting to go to trial but the guy is being held without bond.

I play golf with a guy that used to drive a Coke truck in Birmingham. He was robbed and shot while working early one morning. He said he just remembers feeling like he was kicked in the chest while simultaneously having a hot poker stuck right where he was "kicked".
He lost consciousness shortly after and woke up the next day. He got royally fricked by his employer too. They ended up firing him because they were afraid he was gonna sue for them having him out in a high crime area at 4am. He found out that was the reason years later and got like $30k out of the company.

Guns pulled on me twice, shot at once.
Wasn't fun either time.

A good friend of mine was a marine in Afghanistan in 2010ish and took a graze on the outside of his arm. He said the adrenaline mitigated the pain at first but then turned into an extremely hot pain. Compared it to running a lighter over a knife blade and then applying it with a little pressure to his arm.
