Anybody have their kid redshirt Kindergarten in Louisiana?

Homeschool bro, it's a pain in the arse but it'll payoff when we're retired with that NFL money.

Teach them nothing from birth, not even how to talk or use the toilet. Boom, got you an automatic redshirt!

Looks like an OTer got held back in kindergarten. That's not really a surprise.

I know too many parents that redshirted their kids for bullshite reason and celebrate all their kids awards in 2nd and 3rd grade. No shite your kids seems advanced around kids a whole year young plus fact they will be 19 graduating high school. Loser parents.

My FIL did this to my wife's 24 year younger half bro. Ridiculous. You know why he needed to be 'redshirted', it's pure rocket science right here. Her dad was retired and living on a lake out by themselves and the new wife is not very socially active, so guess what? The kid was way behind socially. Mind blowing. Subtle brag here but the FIL is a retired surgeon so the boy is super smart, I mean ridiculous actually.

I chuckle everytime they talk about how well he is doing now. One of these days I'll be too many beers in and tell them I'd hope he's doing well he has had an extra year of practice over every other kid.

What if every parent did this? Think about that? So your kid isn't perfect, who cares? I always thought it was better to be the youngest kid that barely kept up then the oldest kid around that barely led the pack. I mean don't you want your kid to be pushed and motivated?

Anyway, I think redshirting is a ridiculous idea. There's always someone older, faster, stronger, etc. they gotta learn to deal with it sometime.

In California, they start kindergarten earlier than anywhere else. And we knew we were moving to Georgia which has an older kindergarten. So I repeated kindergarten.

Parkview Baptist tried to redshirt Pimp Jr when he was in Kindergaten. Even though he had solid grades and no behavioral issues they said "he has a low attention span". I said "no shite, he's in kindergarten". I said hell no and burned that front office down.I literally yelled at them. Now that he's going into his sophomore year at BRMHS I realize even more how stupid and counterproductive that would have been.

My youngest daughter actually skipped kindergarten. She went from pre-K to 1st grade,and now she's the youngest girl in 8th grade. She makes straight A's and is a social butterfly. So we went the other direction and it worked out perfectly.

Usually parents do it for young kids, especially born in July or August.

My parents wanted to hold me back because they didn't want me to be the youngest in my class. But the teachers said I was fine and had all the required skills, like, color inside the lines, reading. The only thing I remember sucking at was using scissors.
