Anybody have a VOIP system for their office?

I need to get a "land line" but don't want an actual land line. Is anybody using Ring Central or Zoom or other VOIP providers? Got a favorite?

Look into Talkroute. It's cheap.

Uniti Fiber for the past 5+ years
Happy with them, very responsive.

Explain this to me like I grew up in a house with two phones. One with a 50' cord from the wall to the handset so you could talk in three different rooms and a phone in the kitchen wall with a 25' curly line from the base to the handset.
Edit to add: I haven't had a landline in well over a decade.

I have had Ooma for about 10 years. I am very satisfied with it.
I think we pay like $2 - $3 a month.
FYI, mine is at home rather than the office.

we just switched to Ring Central. Haven't used long enough to know.
It came highly recommended from several business partners who use it.

I had the same reaction back story is I have a customer that refuses to wire my contracting firm any more than a few hundred dollars without being able to talk to us on a "real phone" as they put it. I think this is riduculous and most of my customers know me and trust me. But we have a stick in the mud for a big job here and I need to figure this out asap.

Where are you located? A buddy of mine does all of my VOIP and it works great.

I've had RingCentral for 7 years. Very happy with it. Have desk phones, plus software apps for desktop & laptop computer, plus smart phone. Can fax/test as well. Has been 100% reliable.

We installed Zultys at our office a few months ago. It's pretty good but the mobile phone app is hit or miss. And it won't work over the Bluetooth in my truck.

I sell UC solutions and would be happy to talk with you about it if you need some help.
A ton to consider depending on size of company, users, user types, etc.
I wouldnt recommend the same groups for 5 users as I would for 100 as I would for 1000. In country support, stability, etc all matter and are treated differently

Is this as simple as it seems?

my wife's office has WOW VOIP. it's horrible. internet down, phone down.
all.the.time.
it's a dental office, so phone access is kinda important. usually their response is 'it'll be a few days". uh, how bout "NO"

realize this, but you'd think if they are marketing to businesses that conduct business over the phone, they'd be a little more responsive when net goes down.
