My wife’s niece and a couple of her friends stayed at one of the cottages Sunday night. They lasted till about 2:00am where they all swear they saw and heard a small child skipping on the front patio. At that point they threw all their crap in the car and hauled arse in a panic.

They drove home because a racoon walked across the porch?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the point of even going there is to experience weird shite.

I was around a bunch of people freaking the frick out claiming they saw a ghost in a window or some shite. I looked and it looked like a window.
I’d consider their behavior very weird.

No, but I know plenty of people who fell for the haunted house BS.

What would be more odd, though, is being ginned up into thinking there might be some weird shite going on there and NOT then imagining every little noise is a ghost...at the HAUNTED place you already think you're staying at.

shite...I'm might be as big a materialist as you'd ever find, and while reading Stephen King's IT last summer I'd make a point of not parking too close to storm drains... Your mind, when primed, can frick with even the most sane. For those less so...well...

My wife and I stayed there. It's like any other old place, it has noises. Partner that with a bunch of freaked out tourists and it's a recipe for panic. Wife wouldn't even let me get poon because she was worried the ghost were watching.

They missed out, the breakfast is pretty damn good.

I have never had a paranormal experience. I think it was WAFB or WBRZ, one of them ran a story from way back where the staff at the Myrtles admitted to doing some of the knocking under the floorboards and stuff like that to scare guests.

My parents went there once and think there's a ghost in one of their pictures. It's just sort of a light discoloration in the corner. They swear up and down there's no smudges on the lens, and that it was nighttime with no lights in that area shining towards the camera, no explanation for it, etc. People just see what they want to see.

I like how ghosts can only do trivial, meaningless things, and only idiots can see them.

Seems legit.

It was weird because he was still on the toilet.

There’s no such thing as ghosts. Stop being a child.

An ex gf tried to finger me one Halloween there.

God damned ghost spooked her before it got real.
