We use to have a guy show up drunk pretty often which he was basically a functioning alcoholic. Until one day he was plastered out of his mind and cursed out a new co-worker... He got fired...

i work alone at my desk in my guest bedroom upstairs 90% of the time.

Once shortly after i got divorced was going out a lot and working shift work. I took a cab into work once hammered when I was working nights and showed up many other times extremely hung over. Luckily my coworkers had a polite talk with me and carried me thru.
