My wife booked an Air BnB for us in Greenwich Village during Pride Month and didn't realize 1) it was Pride Month and 2) Greenwich Village is Ground Zero for Pride Celebrations on the east coast due to Stonewall National Monument. Interesting weekend...and that was before the transgender movement became the standard bearer for the LGB etc... crowd.

Disney employs 200,000+ people in Florida. There are probably a million more that are employed by association. Do you really think those employees are all pride supporters?

They’re just following orders bro that’s why they’re in the pridestapo

You’re going to see lots of men with beards wearing skirts and dresses. Just tell you’re kids they are pirates or princess rejects.

We did but it wasn't that bad except on the weekend and mostly at Epcot, which is actually my favorite park.

Took my daughter last year for her bday and just happened to be there for the first couple of days in June. Didn’t know June was pride month there. Really wasn’t much different between the days at the end of May and the first of June. Just more rainbow decorated stuff.

That’s good to know. I don’t mind extra rainbow stuff, it’s the over the top stuff I don’t care for.

Isn’t it trashy enough we can no long worry about pride month during pride month. We talk about it all the time now outside of the gay month.

The team promoting debauchery has won, and this country is f’ed.

It’s a good thing there’s a man with traditional values who wants to save this country

The Pride crowd seems much easier to work with than the fat, sweaty hog crowd of Americans who are there most of the time.

Are you worried that you and/or your son will catch the gay?
No, but I could see it being an uncomfortable experience, and you don't want to pay a lot of money for a "memorable vacation" to be uncomfortable.

One year, my son and I met my sister's family in Destin; and it turned out to be Gay Week. Things were awkward as hell on the beach, and people-watching stopped being entertaining after one day.

The first time we took my son to Disney was when he was three years old, so this would have been around early June 2004. When we got checked into our resort, the first place we went to was the Fantasy Land section of Magic Kingdom. This was directly behind the big castle. It’s where the the carousel, Dumbo ride, Small World, and all the classic rides for little kids were located.

I started noting a lot of matching rainbow shirts that said “Gay Days 2004” or something similar. The first really bad thing I saw was two guys walking with one having his arm around the waist of the other and the other having his hand down the back of his partner’s pants. I’m pretty sure he had his finger in his butthole. Also saw some guy on the carousel who had his shirt unbuttoned and waving at everyone like he just won Miss America. When we took my son to ride “It’s a Small World After all” I was thankful, being that he was three years old, he was too young to notice the two dudes making out in the boat in front of us. Thankfully the weekend we arrived was the weekend “Gay Days” was ending.

it seems every year LSU made it to Atlanta it was their gay pride weekend, with a gay parade and everything. Some type of comicon type shite going on too.

let me guess...you went to the UNC opening game in 2010?

Atlanta has a gay pride festival (and comic con, and gay black pride fest, and typically a nascar race) all on labor day wekeend.

Didn't see any of that this past year though.

Looks like you will miss the bulk of it, look like Gay Day waterpark day is June 3rd and all their events are the 31st-5. They have a website you can check gaydays.com

The 3rd is the day you wouldn't want to be there if you want to avoid them. There will still probably be a lot of them staying through that week though.

Ahhhh, yes I did go to the UNC game. It appears I have mis-remembered. To be fair, a lot of drinking occurred each trip. But man, it sure seems I remember it happening more than just once. Did we play another neutral site opener there that I am forgetting?
