There are a few things I watch on TV and listen to that for some reason makes my head tingle.

For example, every time I watch a Ben Carson interview his voice makes my head tingle. Yup! I know.. fricking weird

Or the paint show with Bob Ross

It’s bizarre. Yup I get it, I’m a frick nut but whatever

So after several years of experiencing this, I decided to do some research and wow, it’s actually a thing called ASMR

It’s some kind of relaxation therapy that you do not realize you are receiving.

So, never hearing about this weird thing before in my life I started doing more research about it and it’s actually a pretty damn big common thing that all celebrities and a lot of people experience everyday

Anyone ever heard of this or experience it?

Yes. I also had a coworker that used to watch this girl on YouTube loudly eat ruffles chips. The loud crunching was somehow soothing. She was weird af

There are few things that annoy me more than someone eating chips out of a bag while I'm trying to watch TV or hear something. I mean, it just pisses me off. Why don't they just throw the damn bag on the floor and go to rummaging around in it like a raccoon?

Those experiencing ASMR have higher Big Five personality trait scores in openness-to-experience and neuroticism, but lower conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness. ASMR intensity is correlated with the openness-to-experience and neuroticism traits.

That's not all they're selling. Most of the chicks that do asmr also have onlyfans where they do a lot more.

As a kid, there was a scene in the movie "Rookie of the Year" where the mom is writing a check and there is basically no other noise. It was like an inner-ear massage.

Mine come when someone is tinkering with something, writing, typing (esp. with a mechanical keyboard), or browsing at a store. Weird I know.

In High school after I had finished a writing assignment I was just sitting there, but the person beside me wasn't. I put my head and ear down to the table and listened to them write for a solid 10 minutes. The tingles I got were extraordinary.

For those of you in to fishing, this guy is like the Bob Ross of Kayak fishing. He's an incredible angler, and his voice is just chill AF.

NDYakAngler

He's as close to ASMR that I would be interested in.

Oh, well, this chick is also intriguing. She hits my Lord of the Rings D&D nerd button

I'm a pretty avid ASMR watcher/listener and for me it's always been from somebody working on me or presenting something to me. Dr appointments have always done it, watching any sort of presentation or demonstration, teacher holding a book and reading it, etc. I can only watch girls because there is a sort of sensual element to it but now YouTube is littered with IG and OnlyFan sluts who have no idea what they're doing but want to dip into the ASMR viewer pool

There are podcasts just for them. None of them beat rainfall on a tin roof.
