I can think of only two instances where I should have grabbed a gun and I just forgot.

First time, I was coming home to my apartment from a party. It was like 2 AM. Some drug addict looking guy was staring at me in the parking garage. I did not say a word. I just walked briskly down the long hallway which had many twists and turns to my apartment. I looked over my should once and I could see he was following me. I got in my apt and locked the door. About 5 minutes later the drug addict looking guy is knocking on my door. He continues to pound on it again and again. I'm just standing there stunned. I don't know if I should open the door and beat his arse or what. I ignore it and he goes away. I should have just grabbed my handgun or shotgun and waited. If he breaks the door down be ready.

Second time, my wife wakes up me up in the middle of the night and she is scared. Says she heard someone knocking on the front door and now she hears noises in the house. I stumble out of bed and start searching the house. I come back and said nobody is on this side of the house but I will now check the other side. She says why don't you grab a gun! I said, oh yeah!!! I even have a tactical light on my night stand handgun which is loaded. It will make searching easier too. I scope out the rest of the house and everything is cleared and every door is locked.

I mean if you got out okay, then you probably didn't need a gun.

I carry mine with me when I drive back and forth from nola late at night. One evening this guy comes to a complete stop in front of me on hwy 90 and gets out walking towards my jeep. I reached into the cup holder only to realize I still had my gun tucked in my bag in the back and I couldn't reach it. Fortunately my dogs were with me and the top of the jeep was off. They went absolutely apeshit and the guy turned around, got back in and sped off.

Needless to say, I haven't left it in the back since.

I have never even remotely been in a situation where a gun was needed.

Certainly wont be any Hillary memes. Unless its about her wanting them out of your hands.

got carjacked in college. Was coming back from Casino around 2 am. Guy opened my car door and sat in, pointed gun at me. Drove me to the Islamic center. Held me at gun point while he went through glove box, took wallet, etc. Got out of car and casually walked away like he did not have a care in the world.

The .380 I usually kept between my seat and the console? Yea....I had sold that to a buddy the day before because I wanted to buy a different gun.

Yep. Once I was scoping out my property during deer season and stirred up a big buck. I didn't have my rifle with me.

Perfect reason to have a big dog or 2 and an alarm system. When my wife wakes up saying this, I always ask if the dogs are barking and if the alarm is going off.

This happened right when we moved into our new house. We have both now.

Same here. Hell, I've had a gun pulled on me before and me pulling out one as well very likely would've made things worse.
