It does. Black bezel, black face. Though I think the first one I posted in a Japanese model, and the one I have says Quartz instead of Automatic under the Citizen emblem. It also has a day of the week dial in addition to the date dial. Otherwise, looks like that one.
And yeah, I cringed when dad showed me that Tissot he bought. I think my brother ended up trading it on a different Tissot.

That’ll be great on a thick James Bond NATO strap.
It has Pepsi bezel.
yep... really good find, tbh... citizen is a good beater watch... i have mine on various NATO straps, leather and nylon, depending on the day...

Date magnification windows however ruin any watch they are on. fricking gross.
de gustibus non disputandum est
I rather like the inverted magnifier that Panerai uses on the Luminor Marina series, but will say that I'm conflicted with regards to a cyclops. I like the Cyclops on the older 5 digit subs with the smaller markers, but on the six digit models (including GMT's) with the maxi dials and ceramic bezels, I prefer the look of no date window/no cyclops (of course this is not an option with a GMT). I much prefer the no cyclops SD's as opposed to the SD 43 single red with the cyclops.
I don't mind it so much on the DJ's or DD's, but enjoy the simplicity of the dial/crystal with an Oyster Perpetual or Exp 1.
As to the OP, I can vouch for the Citizen Watch repair outfit in Richardson, TX. Good communication, good work, decent turnaround time.

Inverted is way better but I prefer none at all. Cyclops is an abomination.

If that is the case the watch uses a battery and you can discount everything I said about the movement.

I'm going to ship it off to a repair shop in Atlanta that is an authorized Citizen repair place.
I've sent my Navihawk there twice over the past 20 years. The last major overhaul (new crystal, knobs, buttons, gaskets, battery) was $180, but looked and performed like new. They can be a little slow with correspondence, though.

Well, turns out this watch is NOT the one I remember dad having in the early 80's. I sent it off to be assessed for repairs and they just emailed me a $197 estimate and said the watch was manufactured in October 2001. Bummer. Not paying $200 for a watch that has no meaningful value to it. Wish I knew what happened to the one I remember from back in the day.
