I had a 2019 Limited 2500 diesel.
previous:
2001 F-150
2007 Ram 2500 diesel
2012 F-350 Lariat SRW diesel
2015 F-250 King Ranch DIesel
2017 F-250 King Ranch Diesel
2018 F-250 Lariat Diesel
going to purchase another F-250 in coming weeks
Interior is nice, big screen is cool stereo sounds good, but several drawbacks vs Ford.
-Crew cab space without going to mega cab is way smaller in back seat. put a car seat back there and you're having to move front seats for space
-one of the front turn signals would randomly not work
-quirks with big screen computer would randomly (once every few weeks) not work right, freezing etc
-chrysler bluetooth sucks, if you want to switch back and forth with hand held its always a cluster
-way less power than F-250 and its not even close
-more engine noise
-tranny/traction control system give dead pedal feel, stomp on it and nothing happens
-coil springs are great until you tow heavy, big trailer/heavy boat on a bridge like i55 through manchac is total misery, you can't speed up and slow down to get rid of the oscillation like you can with leaf springs.
-door hinge noise started around 10,000 miles, pretty pitiful for a truck with $82k sticker
I would never spend my own money on a Ram, 2007 wasn't great quality and for the price I wasn't impressed with this one either. It was a co. truck, will be buying another F-250 in short order. F-250 has always held value well for me too.

I’ve got a ‘16 5.7 4x4 with 42k 90% of which had a boat or trailer hanging off the back. So far it’s my favorite truck I’ve ever owned. We’ll see if it sticks for the long haul my all my Chevies did. Would buy another one until convinced otherwise

I have a 19 Rebel and love it. I've had 2003, 2007, and now 2019 Rams and haven't had the 1st problem with any of them that weren't either normal wear and tear or my own fault.
What do I not like about the 19? I wish it had touch and go door unlocking and backup sensors. That is just luxury things I got used to in the ol lady's no pics ride. I think those are standard on the Laramie but I just liked the look of the Rebel more.

Limited definitely has those...as well as auto-braking with backup sensors. It is no joke either...I’ve gotten whiplash from it because of a curb that it freaked out about. Did not enjoy.

I have a '14 Ram 1500, got the big horn but have leather, sunroof and the upgraded sound system. Great truck, currently at 107k miles and have 0 problems. Other than wanting a 4x4 with my next truck I have no desire to move on.
The new ones are sweet. Love the Rebel.

I have all of that in my Rebel. You can get almost anything in a Rebel except 4Auto and ventilated seats.

2020 Ecodiesel. I get a stiffie when I look at the dash and see an average of 27 mpg. 20,000 miles no issues. It's a beast. Hope it keeps up.
Just curious if you have ran the numbers on better gas mileage vs. increase cost per gallon of fuel, higher maintenance costs and purchase price. I'm not on either side, just like to see numbers on stuff life this.

I'm just afraid of Chrysler products.
They aren't being gutted by Daimler anymore so I don't see why people still bring that up as an issue. The vast majority of their problems come from that era. Any quality issues they have now seem to be pretty much the same random things that all auto companies deal with.
TBH it's really hard to find a true shitbox from any manufacturer these days. The vast majority of vehicles built now completely crush the cars of yesteryear when it comes to build quality.

I turned my autobraking off. It's a nice feature but it doesn't frick around when it thinks there is something in front of you that you need to avoid. Unless you have a kid who doesn't have a lot of experience behind the wheel I think it's a feature you can live without.

2017 Ecodiesel Laramie 4x4. I haven’t had any problems with it.

I had a 2014 Laramie and now a 2020 Rebel. Ive also sold trucks so I know the others well. I love Ram. They have quietly built a nice brand that seems to be picking up a ton of speed. Anyway I loved both of my trucks the Laramie was a nice entrance to Ram but my Rebel. Oh I love it so. I have everything but the panoramic sunroof and the driving safety features. The screen is fun but takes some getting used to. Get the Harmon/Kardon system. I just drove it from Houston to North Alabama and back. I left Sunday back on Tuesday. I have a bad back and thought I would be in pain but I had very little pain. Get the Rebel.

Most piece would prefer a vehicle to drive like a sedan on the pavement I would expect.
It felt like a shitty sedan. Like a hybrid between a useless truck and a shitty sedan. Most people that own 1/2 ton trucks don’t actually need a truck, because that little thing wouldn’t do shite that I use a truck for.

Couldn't agree more. This system rocks. It blew my mind when we test drove our 2020 limited!

Right now my numbers were way underestimating the benefit. I got it as much for the torque as the mpg. It breaks even when diesel is less than 35% more than gas. The maintenance is out the arse expensive. The tiny little diesel holds a lot of oil, 11 quarts I think, and the fuel filter needs to be replaced every 10-15k. Once Autozone starts sticking the filters, I will do it myself. Right now diesel is 1.89 vs 1.80 for gas so I'm making out like a bandit and should recoup the extra cost of the motor once the odometer ticks past 120,000 vs 140,000 from my numbers. This is a life truck though and that's why I went to the eco-diesel as well. The next truck I buy will have to fly.

With the Hemi last month, 40% interstate and 60 highway I averaged 24.3 mpg and got 583 miles.

Traded in my 2014 Laramie for a 2020 Laramie. The 14 was a great truck for me but the miles were adding up. Love the 20’ even more so far. The ride, turn radius, & interior (including best sound system) are all top in class.. I did not read the thread but I’m sure there are the Ford/Chevy guys bad mouthing Ram. Ignore them, they have only driven what their daddy, grandpa, and great papa drove and have no interest in upgrading.

I have had three Rams. 08 1500, 2012 2500 5.7 long bed and 2018 2500 long bed 6.4. Zero problems with any of them and they tow like a BOSS. Not sure about the post related to the gas engines but I have never had a problem with mine. Never put them in the shop for any issue.

What is the difference in purchase price? I'm assuming a moderately equipped gas burner is around $50k
