You ever get zapped by an outlet or one of those crazy static things at the kids museum that makes your hair stand up straight?

My uncle was when he was younger. He was playing baseball and the lightening went through the bat. He lived and didn't have any complications which is pretty wild

When I was in the Navy a classmate in Orlando died when he was struck by lightning, knocked unconcious, and fell face first into a puddle of water.

Talk about some "million ways to die" type of shite

I never have but have had strikes close enough to me to make my hair stand on edge.

A former supervisor of mine got stuck twice in his life - once in the 1980's and again in 2006 when he was at work. He survived.

I know 3 people who have been stuck by indirectly by lighting and all lived.

One was jacking up a boat trailer, and 2 were doing some rigging on a barge when a crane got hit while they were holding onto the cables.

Not quite.

I was fishing and lightning hit the water about 200 yds away. I felt tingling in my hands and then I blacked out for a split second and lost my balance and fell backwards. No pain. I imagine the electricity from the strike travelled through the water up my line, down the rod into my hands and up to my head.

Friend of mine was playing baseball, lightning hit the chain link back stop and traveled down the fence line. Everyone(about 15 people) who was standing in the wet grass got knocked out and went to the hospital. All survived fine though

That's static electricity, not a lightning strike. WTF is "indirectly struck by lightning"?

I had the biggest crush on her, the girl from Uncle Buck, and the chick from Goonies.

Technically, anyone who has ever been shocked by metal or another person has. So I'd say a good portion of the people alive today...

As a kid, I would partially unplug electrical outlets and touch the metal parts and make my hand tingle because I thought I'd get super powers if I got electrocuted. It's a miracle I'm still here with all of the dumb shite I did when I was younger.
