Why would anyone consider that enjoyable? Disney on a normal day is awful, but that’s a whole new level of shitty.

Yeah. Disney is badass but I don’t know why anyone would go in the summer.

If I’m paying that much money, I’m going when I wanna go. Case and point- last November and it was amazing

I have kids and if anyone suggested I go stand in line 4.5 hrs with my kids in the middle of June for a ride- I’d tell them they are nuts. It can wait until the rise isn’t so new.

My kids hated everything a out Disney. We had fast passes and all.

My cousin is a cast attendant in Toy Story land. I couldn't imagine working in that place.

My family and I love Disney. Have had some truly great vacation there and will be back. Son asks to go al the time. Having said that, to hell with going in the summer. My God. I'm getting nauseated just thinking about it.

Honestly, I don't mind sucking it up for an occasional trip. She's somewhat practical and has assured me no Disney Honeymoon. Now, weather she's being honest? Who knows.

Nope. But if I did, I’d definitely ensure they have a fun childhood. But waiting 4.5 hours for a fricking ride, the near equivalent of me driving from where I live in NY to Washington DC is insane

I enjoy Disney, but we usually hit whatever park has morning magic hour, head to the beach club pool around 1 and then hit whatever park we have fast passes at in the evening.

In my opinion, nothing at Disney is worth waiting more than 45 minutes for.

I was in Orlando for work this week and the family tagged along. We got a heads up from a friend at the media only event on Friday that there would be a soft opening at 4:00 that afternoon. We are passholders, so we stayed an extra night. It ended up being at 5:00 but we got to ride everything multiple times within an hour. We were actually on the first coaster on Slinky Dog that was open to the public. It is really cool if you have younger kids.

I love my kids. My kids wouldn’t wait an hour for a ride though. It got up to 5 hours today. That’s just dumb. I’m smart enough to not go on opening weekend and by the way the roller coaster sucks balls.

I thought Toy Story Land was going to be a mini amusement park with all kinds of rides. I just looked, it's two new rides and the enterence to Toy Story Mania relocated. But I'm sure there are at least 20 gift shops.

Did y'all get souvenir pins for being first? They usually have 1000 pins for the first riders. Highly collectible/valuable pins.

They needed to upgrade Hollywood studios. Place was really dated. This and Star Wars land will have it rolling again.

They need to revamp all of HS to compete with Universal Studios. That place is amazing and blowing HS out of the water.

Went with the wife and kids a month ago to avoid this crowd. Was still crowded, but the kids will remember it forever.

So will I. That was a lot of fricking money. Stayed in Contemporary resort, deluxe dining plan, photo pass, etc. I hate crowds, hate the hot humid weather, and long lines, and I would never choose to go to Disney World on my own. But with the family, it's worth every penny and will probably become a semi-regular trip. If you do the right kind of pre-planning, you can avoid a lot of lines/waits with fast passes and reservations.

I couldn’t imagine going in the summer. Even Feb this year was hot. We will only go in a slow week from now on. A little planning goes a long way. Use points for free rooms, have a touring plan and fast pass strategy, etc.

People that hate on Disney and have kids just don’t make sense to me.
