How is taking speed (ie, ADHD meds) supposed to help you sleep?? Especially if taking in the afternoon. You said “in spite of taking” as if you think these might help with sleep.

It was that I'm tired throughout the day in spite of my meds...the frick? Do you think I'm taking Adderall as a sleep aid?

Clearly I don't? Based on what evidence, genius? I'll wait.

No, doctors often prescribe a primary (Vyvanse) and then a "booster" (Adderall) in the afternoon to cover the period where the primary begins to wear off. It just happens to be that my doses are higher than a lot of people because I metabolize it so quickly. I monitor my heart and have never had an issue. I've been on this for over 15 years.
I get that.

"I've taken 90 mg of amphetamine a day for 15 years. Anyone know why I have trouble sleeping?"

Duh, kid.

I've had severe issues with getting good sleep for years. Never enough REM sleep. Got tested for apnea and that was negative. Next step is to do an overnight at a sleep lab and I have no desire to do that. Only thing that has ever helped is Xanax and that shite is damn near impossible to get. I've tried just about everything else out there other than Ambien and I don't wanna be out there driving my truck when I'm sleep walking.

I think I have some form of sleep apnea. I will wake up at random times at night and will not fall asleep fast enough. So I jump on here to read the latest and type a post or a reply but will fall asleep before hitting submit.

You do not want to play around with Xanax even if prescribed. Long term use can really frick you up if you ever want to get off of it

6'1, 185 is right on the border of healthy weight/overweight on the BMI chart.

I guess you guys didn't like that, but I'm didn't create the BMI chart. I'm 6'2", 185 and it wouldn't hurt lose about 10 lbs myself.

The BMI doesn't take into account how much of your weight is fat vs muscle, so it's pretty worthless.

I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters in Laws that use the CPAP. All say it is great for them and a life changer. I haven’t taken the leap.
