First time it’s hard.

After that it can be surprisingly easy.

The look on their face when they realize they have no power over you is satisfying. and drives them wild.

Maybe marriage isn't for you.

Think about what I wrote and don't take it for face value.

Congrats Torch. She was eating both of y'all up. Now she can only harm herself and your boy. You have to work a little harder with him now to make sure his path stays smooth.

I am not saying she needs to FOAD. She just needs to get herself right. You can't do it for her and it is no longer your problem.

Once again, congrats.

I don't know the best answer. I spent years coasting through my husband's alcoholism, and he's done everything to fix things. I'm just not sure that everyone changes that swiftly

This is our problem but it's my wife not husband.

I've tried for years to help her, spent thousands of dollars, lost 100's of hours sleep, cried, went to therapy with her, got her out of jail multiple times etc etc etc etc etc. I just can't take anymore

Agree. I never thought I'd get divorced. My ex husband had different plans. It was actually the best thing he ever did for me in hindsight. But, it's brutal to go through. Just got remarried last year after being with my husband for 7 years. I really wanted to be confident I'd never have that experience again.

Yep together with my ex wife for 14 years we were married 12 years. She decides grass is greener. She went our of her way to make my life hell after the divorce. AGAIN SHE cheated. Been together with my current gf for almost 7 years and we are getting a house built together. Divorce sucks especially with kids.

That is nice to hear I’ve been with my current SO for around 3 years. We live together & plan our life together. We plan to marry, but I’m just not ready yet.

Current gf has been divorced 12 years and me 9 years. We ain't in no big hurry we are happy and there is no drama in our relationship. The new house being built has both our names on the paperwork so I believe marri***is not far off. I don't like saying the word

That's touching, you putting aside the search for your own father to try and help Torch. You people are usually far too selfish for that.

Baby steps.

Famous last words. I said the same thing yet did it again. I've been divorced again since 2012 and I've said the same thing as your Dad. 58 and am content to never do it again. I've come to learn that being single is pretty dang good!
