He started the gimmick as a way to make his kids laugh. They kept after him to record what he was doing. He did just to play along with them, and it blew up. He seems like a good guy, and has taken it all in stride.
He was on one of the more recent episodes of the How to BBQ Right podcast if anyone is interested. I still haven't watched one of his videos because I don't have tiktok.

I think that dude is 75% show and fluff. It’s good for folks that never been around South Louisiana. You ain’t gonna sell me on being an ambassador of Cajun food if you ain’t from Ville Platte and never chased a chicken. Ya boy is from Hammond.

You can boil shrimp with seasoning in the water and they will peel just fine. That's some freshwater coonass shite.
