If you put the shrimp in after the water comes to a boil what difference does it make?
Because they’re cooking on the eve of boiling.

Boil seasoned water, cut the fire, add shrimp.
Vs
Boil unseasoned water, cut the fire, and seasoning and shrimp.
What am I missing?

I’m doing this from memory, but I thought he added the shrimp to the boiling water and stirred while it boil briefly, then breaks the boil. In one version I think he pulled the shrimp then added seasoning to do the corn and potatoes. Then waited for the water to cool way back down to add the shrimp back. It was cool enough that he drank a spoon full of it. He mentioned something about the salt and heat being an issue but I’ve never heard anything like that even from my buddies who boil 1000s of lbs a week. I might give a small batch a try like that one day. Maybe it’ll be easier to do while I’m on the verge of blacking out from the day drinking.

I went to school with stale cracker and he is about as good of a guy as it gets. I watch his videos and find them entertaining but can’t speak on his recipes as I haven’t tried any. Dude is for sure a family man and is just having fun. I’m glad he is gaining traction.
