I'm in the Washington D.C. area and wondering if any of you guys know of any Mardi Gras related or themed events happening this week? Wasn't sure if there is anything like that up here so I thought I'd ask the OT. I've seen a decent amount of Washingtonians on here and was hoping someone could potentially help me out. Just feeling festive and want to celebrate outside of LA.

Sorry brought two king cakes up to DC Monday. Would have saved a half of one for an OT'er had I known.

I just moved out of the district, but check out restaurants/bars like Acadiana, Bayou, and Bayou Bakery. Their websites would probably have some info, or just give them a call. I don't know if Tru Orleans is still in business, I heard their food sucked but that's another one.

Clarendon Mardi Gras Parade
I've been. It's fun. Clarendon is a haven for 20-something college grad professionals, so it's worth it for that reason alone.

Thanks for the solid info. I know they had the ball this past weekend and everything but found out too late so I wasn't able to go unfortunately. It looks like I might have to check out the Clarendon Mardi Gras Parade then.

Go into Whitlowe's for me and punch the bald Afghan bartender in the face. TIA.
