No - they conduct quite the ritual at the funerals of their brothers.
There were some black people at my uncle’s funeral who looked very uncomfortable when they cranked that shite up.

My Grandpa was a seventh degree mason. Had a sword and everything. It was basically an old man bowling league. He quit in his 60s and converted to Catholicism and he told us all the secrets he was sworn to uphold. It was nothing interesting.
When he died I got the sword.

I went to a mason funeral once. They did this deal where they used a knocker to try and contact his ghost or something. Then they waited for his response. When he didnt respond they said it was because he was at rest or something.

I know it used to be so but might not be anymore.
The Knights of Columbus were basically started for this reason.

7th degree is pretty low.
Yep Chris, Mason’s hate Catholics.
They may keep a token Catholic around for appearance and comedic sake. Kind of like Clayton Bigsby joining the Klan.

Old friend is a freemason. He makes it sound like they hold charity events and get drunk. That seems like the gist of it.

I’m a 3rd degree Knight.
But Knights only have 4 degrees.
There are 32 degrees for Masons.

You can interview and gain a sponsor from my understanding.
Truth. The easiest way is to find the lodge you want on the internet and get an email contact. Send them an email and somebody will contact you. You meet up with them and they'll ask you some questions. If you're interested, they'll set you up with a sponsor and explain the steps to join.

I know... Well at least around me, most people who are masons are Baptist, but I know a few ring clickers who.. At least have Catholic families. As in, their wife and kids are Catholic and they attend mass with their family from time to time.
That doesn't mean anything. Someone I know, asked their mom what she knows about their dad and being a mason and she told them that she knows absolutely nothing. She told them that the one time she asked her husband about it, he just said it is something we will never talk about...
