You just have to ask a mason. He will get you a form to fill out to get the ball rolling.
The first question on the form is do you believe in God. If the answer is no you can throw it away.
It is not a religious organization. A belief in God sets the tone for one to govern themselves as upright people.

Do you have to be actively attending church?
Or is it that you believe or do not?

They should have been dressed in nice clothes wearing ceremonial aprons.

Not a mason, but I dated one of their female counterparts for a few years. She was a Rainbow Girl (youth masons) and transitioned into Order of the Eastern Star (older female masons) while we were dating.
She was a freak in the sheets. And elsewhere. Actually copulated with her outdoors on the banks of Thompson Creek.
Good times. Awesome chick. Loved guns and motorcycles. Hot as a firecracker and even snuck my booze into Tiger Stadium--way back in the Hallman days when we needed all the alcohol possible.

No sermons, preaching, teaching, etc.
They just want good quality people that will help each other and any person that needs help.

Masons don't ask anyone to join. Only way you get in is to ask to join. I'm not one but know several. Anytime they're aware of a situation going on in my life, they are the first to shoot a text or call.

Are you sure? Not a very good Mason if they approached you.
Davy Crocket was a Mason.

Yes I’m a FM. We basically run the world. No, I’m all seriousness, just dinner once a month, talk a little bs, and raises money for charity.

Louisiana lodge 102.
Any upstanding man can join regardless of religion. Freemasonry is not a religion or a cult regardless of what the Catholic Church says and I’m Catholic

Catholics are not allowed to join a masonic sect. There are some good men in the masonic sect. Most of them are unaware of the theological teachings they are exposed to. Many good catholics do not understand catholicism enough to recognize the danger they are exposing themselves if they join such a sect.
So why does the Church forbid membership in this fraternal organization? The answer is that the Church considers Freemasonry to be much more than just a fraternal organization. The Church sees Freemasonry as an alternate religion, with its own set of symbols, rites, oaths, names for God, route to heaven, and moral codes - and all with no mention of Jesus Christ. Just look at the picture above and see if it doesn't have religious overtones. Famous Freemasons like Coil, Mackey, and Pike have all written that Freemasonry is a religion unto itself. They also believe in a radical version of "the separation of church and state" that seeks to keep all public displays of religion silent. This is so evident today in the annual war on Christmas in the US, where radical law groups continuously sue towns and cities that dare to publicly celebrate the official US holiday called Christ-mas with manger scenes and religious carols. Freemasons also are proponents of moral relativism - What is true for you may not be true for me. Most of the Supreme Court rulings in the USA that have incorporated this alleged "separation of church and state" (words not found in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence, by the way), came about because Franklin Roosevelt, himself a Freemason, stacked the Supreme Court with his fellow Freemasons during the 1930s and 1940s.

But Knights only have 4 degrees.
There are 32 degrees for Masons.
Exactly how many thetans does that translate to?

I would ask whoever wrote that the same thing that I asked my uncle who is a Catholic priest.
Why is it that the Catholic Church feels that they have the power to tell a Catholic that they are not allowed to join freemasonry but the Catholic Church had no problem covering up parish priests’ crimes of sexual assault of children and then further transferred the pedophiles to different parishes endangering more children?
Churches as a whole do not like critical thinking human beings. They would rather their followers be blind sheep in all matters for them to shape your moral compass in the way they see fit.

I was told once, Apparently they know how to recognize each other based on mannerisms. For instance, if a free Mason was having car trouble they could stand a certain way and another free Mason could recognize them. Or at a cocktail party they know the questions to ask to identify their co-members.
