A buddy of mine is pretty addicted to it. I go out with him from time to time and use his discs to play. It’s a lot less time and money I have to invest than real golf so I’m all for it.

All the converted childrens' playgrounds/disc golf courses just never really took off, did they.

Nah, I've played Howell and City Park a few times but I always got high and drank no matter where I golfed.

Been playing for years. It's really taken off over the last few years and covid was a major catalyst. There are seven figure contract players now, and manufacturers have all massively expanded their operations to accommodate the demand.

The collector market for older discs is popping as well. Some of my older, unused discs are worth hundreds of dollars. There are others, made as recently as 2015, that go for thousands.

I played in city park the other day. It’s not a bad way to spend the day outside

Once or twice.

I played golf all my life but when I discovered disc golf I found I play it more because I enjoy it more. It is more physically demanding and the amount of movement you can get with a disc is just plain fun and gives a whole new complexity to course management.

ETA I also much prefer watching the pro disc golfers play to watching pro golf.
